About The Position

This role involves serving as a Registered Nurse Patient Navigator within the Oncology department at Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The nurse will act as a cross-functional liaison, building relationships between clinical teams, administration, physicians, managed care partners, and community organizations to improve care delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive treatment plans, driving clinical quality improvement initiatives, and leading staff educational programs. The role also involves tracking outcomes, compiling performance data, and providing recommendations for operational and clinical improvements. A key aspect is providing patient navigation support, connecting uninsured and underinsured patients with community resources, follow-up care, and financial assistance programs.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
