About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages. This role involves performing dressing changes, assisting with ambulation, and supporting activities of daily living. The nurse will administer prescribed medications and vaccines, perform respiratory treatments, and administer oxygen therapy. Additionally, the nurse will fit assistive devices such as splints or durable medical equipment. Responsibilities include performing urinary catheter placements, collecting tissue and biological samples, venipuncture for blood samples, and assisting in setting up minor procedures using aseptic techniques. The role also entails initiating treatments, administering medications, and performing emergency and resuscitative measures. The Registered Nurse will consult with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients.

Requirements

  • Must have completed an accredited nursing program at the associate or bachelor's level.
  • Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a focus on medical-surgical in-patient specialties and acute care units.
