About The Position

The Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center, located in Sisseton, South Dakota, provides a range of comprehensive health services to Native American and rural communities. The facility offers primary care, behavioral health services, dental care, and emergency medical services. It is dedicated to delivering culturally sensitive care with a focus on holistic approaches to health and wellness. The center aims to improve access to quality healthcare while honoring the legacy of Woodrow Wilson Keeble, a distinguished Native American war hero and advocate for tribal health. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages. Perform dressing changes, assist with ambulation, and support activities of daily living. Administer prescribed medications and vaccines. The Registered Nurse performs respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and fit assistive devices like splints or durable medical equipment. Perform urinary catheter placements, collect tissue and biological samples, venipuncture for blood samples, and assist in setting up minor procedures using aseptic techniques. Initiate treatments, administer medications, and perform emergency and resuscitative measures. The Registered Nurse consults with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients.

Requirements

  • Must have completed an accredited nursing program at the associate or bachelor's level.
  • Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
