About The Position

This role involves providing direct medical care and case management for clients in an inpatient/crisis setting. The Registered Nurse or LPN will be responsible for transcribing medical orders, administering medications, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in treatment planning and case reviews. The position also requires ensuring the availability of medical supplies, conducting emergency evaluations, and potentially supervising LPN, MA, and CNA team members. The goal is to manage medical clinics efficiently and provide a positive client experience, while adhering to established standards of nursing practice and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Kentucky Registered Nursing license or Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Two (2) years of Registered Nurse or LPN experience.
  • Graduation from an Accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe medical provider orders and obtain requested medical information pertaining to clients.
  • Complete medication administration, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, educating clients on side effects, and assisting with preauthorization of prescriptions/medications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to established standards for nursing practice.
  • Manage a caseload of clients receiving only medication services, when required.
  • Maintain treatment planning and case reviews to determine medical treatment, including after-care plans for clients completing treatment.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning sessions, case conferences, supervisory meetings, and clinical seminars, providing information related to the medical care of the client.
  • Conduct case consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered, when requested.
  • Ensure adequate laboratory supplies, medical equipment, and medications are available and replenish stock on a timely basis.
  • Administer pregnancy tests and drug screens on clients and document results as needed.
  • Monitor medical equipment and testing per CLIA standards.
  • Conduct emergency evaluations of high-risk clients to determine the level of treatment indicated and arrange for hospitalization, as needed.
  • Provide supervision, as requested, to LPN, MA, and CNA team members.
  • Manage the medical clinics to maximize efficiency and create a positive experience for clients.
