Northeast Georgia Health System is rooted in a foundation of improving the health of our communities. This role focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. The position involves seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice, assuming a beginning clinical bedside leadership role, and participating in professional nursing shared governance. The nurse will actively participate on Unit Councils, helping with plans to improve nursing-sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data. For new graduate RNs, the focus is on developing knowledge and skills and showing growth in caring for increasingly complex patients. The role is responsible for providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinating care for assigned patients to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes. Consultation with more experienced clinicians and acceptance of feedback are expected.
