About The Position

This position involves inspecting and packing bottles at a standard rate on assigned lines. The role also includes general housekeeping, assisting with scrap removal and grinding, and pulling plastic. Depending on the needs of the operation, the Packer may be required to operate a punch, load a conveyor or flamer, and pack either blank or decorated bottles. Additionally, the role may involve taping and unitizing cartons.

Requirements

Ability to inspect and pack bottles at a standard rate.
Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.
Ability to assist in scrap removal and grinding.
Ability to pull plastic.
Ability to operate a punch.
Ability to load a conveyor or flamer.
Ability to pack blank or decorated bottles.
Ability to tape and unitize cartons.
Ability to monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/ or the coordinator.
Ability to practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
Ability to remove scrap from around the line.
Ability to grind and pull plastic as needed.
Ability to make and unitize cartons as assigned.
Ability to initial and date box labels.
Ability to make out unit tickets.

Monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/ or the coordinator.
Pack at standard rate.
Operate a punch.
Load conveyors and flamers.
Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
Remove scrap from around the line.
Grind and pull plastic as needed.
Make and unitize cartons as assigned.
Initial and date box labels.
Make out unit tickets.
Do any other work as assigned by the Supervisor.
