About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient/crisis setting, focusing on medication administration, documentation, treatment planning, and client education. The Registered Nurse or LPN will manage a caseload, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment. Responsibilities also include conducting emergency evaluations, administering tests, and potentially supervising other medical staff. The position requires adherence to safety and quality improvement standards.

Requirements

Kentucky Registered Nursing license or Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Two (2) years of Registered Nurse or LPN experience.
Graduation from an Accredited program.

Responsibilities

Transcribe medical provider orders and obtain requested medical information pertaining to clients.
Administer medications, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, and educate clients on managing side effects.
Assist with preauthorization of prescriptions/medications from the pharmacy.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to established standards for nursing practice.
Manage a caseload of clients receiving only medication services, when required.
Maintain treatment planning and case reviews to determine medical treatment, including after-care plans for clients completing treatment.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning sessions, case conferences, supervisory meetings, and clinical seminars, providing information relating to the medical care of the client.
Conduct case consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered, when requested.
Ensure adequate laboratory supplies, medical equipment, and medications are available and replenish stock on a timely basis.
Administer pregnancy tests and drug screens on clients and document results as needed.
Monitor medical equipment and testing per CLIA standards.
Conduct emergency evaluations of high-risk clients to determine the level of treatment indicated and arrange for hospitalization, as needed.
Provide supervision, as requested, to LPN, MA, and CNA team members.
Manage medical clinics to maximize efficiency and create a positive experience for clients.
