Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide personalized care in a patient’s home in the Arvada, Colorado area. The nurse will administer care in accordance with a physician-established plan of care, supporting patients with health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. Care may range from basic medical management to medically fragile end-of-life care. This is a 1099 contract opportunity. The scheduled shift is 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays. RNs earn $50–$58 per hour and LPNs earn $35–$43 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered: $1,000 after 15 visits and 30 days, and an additional $1,000 after 20 more visits and 90 days. Offers are contingent on passing a background check.
Requirements
- Current state or compact license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- Maintain required insurance.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to the patient’s home.
- Ability to provide basic medical management through medically fragile end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Execute physician-prescribed plans of care.
- Complete compliant documentation of care in the system of record.
- Perform activities associated with daily living.
- Monitor changes in the patient’s condition, including weight changes, self-care abilities, and indicators of disease progression.
- Communicate with patients’ family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding patient health.
