About The Position

This position involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process. Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team is essential to ensure safe and effective procedures. The role requires maintaining sterile technique and adhering to infection prevention standards, as well as preparing operating rooms, equipment, and supplies. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status before, during, and after surgery, administering medications and treatments, and accurately documenting patient care. A key aspect of this role is advocating for patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative experience.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous travel nursing experience.
  • Experience in multiple surgical specialties.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced surgical environments.
