About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Emerald Coast Surgery Center. The nurse assesses patients throughout the perioperative episode of care, develops individualized perioperative plans of care, and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care. The role supports SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
• When pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services, complete Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of operating room and/or medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
