About The Position

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse, the role assesses, plans, implements, and coordinates patient care from admission to discharge, helping achieve patient outcomes through critical pathways and in accordance with the mission of the hospital. The position provides leadership for quality nursing care and supervises the smooth functioning of the unit on the assigned shift.

Requirements

• Current licensure in the state.
• Three to five years of Operating Room circulating experience.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support course.
• ACLS/PALS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or BSN.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of acute care OR or ASC OR experience preferred.
• Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
• CNOR preferred.
• Master's degree in Nursing/Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure implementation of each patient's pathway to achieve identified outcomes.
• Provide leadership in delivering quality nursing care to patients receiving services within the nursing department.
• Demonstrate continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals according to age-specific needs and a developmental perspective.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and competence in designated skills identified for the position.
• Supervise the smooth functioning of the unit on the assigned shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
