About The Position

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Oncology Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. This unit serves Hematology/Oncology patients that may require specialized care such as: chemotherapy, side-effect management, complications, biotherapy, supportive/end of life care, neutropenic isolation, infection management, pain management, emotional, spiritual and palliative support, radiation therapy, and clinical trials. This unit will also take overflow general med/surg patients. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Requirements

  • Not accepting New Grad RN applications.
  • At least one year acute care RN experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience.
  • Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
  • CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire.
  • One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred.
  • ICU RN experience is strongly preferred.
