About The Position
This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN in Glendale, California. The assignment is for 8 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is a night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working a 3x12-hour schedule within a hospital setting.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- At least two years of recent OB/GYN or acute care nursing experience
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients using the nursing process; collect pertinent data, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with the care team, supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; delegate appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and intervene to maintain safety and comfort
- Participate in discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and ensure continuity of care
- Document care and treatment plans in the electronic medical record; communicate changes with the multidisciplinary team
- Support a safe, healing environment and provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members
