About The Position

Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Concord, New Hampshire. This is a 13-week assignment with a start date of 09/28/2026. The role involves providing direct nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery (SCN), attending deliveries, initiating IV access, assisting with stabilization and resuscitation, and administering surfactant therapy. The nurse may also float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed. The position requires working 12-hour night shifts in a hospital neonatal unit integrated with labor and delivery.

Requirements

3-4 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in NICU or SCN
Previous NICU or Level 2 SCN experience required for this traveler assignment
Willingness to float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed
Cerner experience preferred but not required
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and function effectively in a busy neonatal unit
Start date: 09/28/2026 (ASAP start encouraged)

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery (SCN), including monitoring vitals, feeding progression, and growth for neonates 32 weeks gestation and above.
Attend deliveries of vaginal births and participate in cesarean deliveries in the OR as part of the integrated LDRP unit.
Initiate neonate IV access, assist with stabilization, and support resuscitation per unit protocols.
Administer surfactant therapy via LMA to appropriate candidates according to unit guidelines.
Float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed to support the team; otherwise focus on SCN responsibilities and newborn care.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
