About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patients’ needs with the nurse’s competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification for all units, obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in acute care.
• Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU.
• ACLS is required for Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, and Interim Critical Care units within six months of hire or transfer into the unit.
• PALS is required for PICU within six months of hire or transfer into the unit.
• NRP is required for NICU within six months of hire or transfer into the unit.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. is required for NICU-Level 2 Nursery; provide proof of prior completion or obtain it within six months of hire or transfer into the unit. Renewal is not required.
