About The Position
An exciting opportunity awaits as you begin your career on a specialized neurological unit. This unit provides an excellent environment to gain knowledge about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Join our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting, caring for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome, among others. As a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the sole Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, we encounter many acute and complex patient cases. Our Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit collaborates with a specialized team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures through advanced continuous video EEG technology. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values the skills, talents, and compassion that nurses bring to our patient population.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of nursing experience
- Current RN License (New York only)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only)
- Telemetry experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
