About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med Surg/Tele unit. This is a 13-week assignment with a start date of ASAP. The role requires flexibility in floating per facility needs and involves 3x12 hour shifts per week, with no blocked scheduling. Consideration may be given to 4x12s. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday. A minimum of 1 year of recent experience within the past year is required. The position requires a NY State License and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application, as any RTO requested after the offer will not be approved. It is the traveler's responsibility to cover any additional shifts. The call-off policy allows for 3 shifts per 13-week assignment. Automatic disqualifiers include any hits on the nursing license. If a traveler does not yet have a NY License, they can be submitted if they have applied for one, with the application submission date provided.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the past year).
• Proficiency in MS/Tele.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Experience with Peripheral Line Care/Management.
• Experience with Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, and Oxygen tanks.
• Experience with non-invasive airway management.
• Knowledge of Isolation precaution.
• NY State License.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a Med Surg/Tele unit.
