About The Position

This position is posted as MS Tele due to an EKG requirement for all RNs and the tele-capable unit. However, the patient population will be primarily MS. The role involves working 3x12-hour shifts, Nights, from 7p-7:30a, with every other weekend (EOW) and holidays as needed. Floating is required if needed, and all travelers are subject to floating across all Cone Health facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• BLS required.
• Must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
• Familiarity with EPIC.
• Awareness of the Pass/Fail EKG exam required by all RNs for Cone Health.
• Awareness of the client's zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
• Awareness of compliance deadlines and requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical (MS) patient population.
• Care for patients with observation needs, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/end-of-life/hospice needs, and psychiatric observation.
• Manage patients with diabetes, including new diabetics and those with complications.
• Provide care for surgical patients and surgical observation patients.
• Float to other units or facilities as needed.
• Pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation.
