This is a position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele). The shift is 3x12s, nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. On-call is required, but rare, and typically for the first 4 hours. The nurse may need to float within scope to meet facility needs or float between like units/sister facilities if needed. The requirement is for 2 years of MS/Tele experience. First-time travelers are accepted. A South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license is required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. NIHSS is preferred. Epic experience is required. Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs. Locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis at a 10% reduced bill rate. All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission, and approval is based on facility needs. The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks. This is an acute care hospital with 304 total staffed beds. The charting system is Epic. Parking is free with a distributed pass at badge pickup, with various lots and garages available (garages have clearance for average SUVs/trucks). Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
