This is an inpatient rehabilitation department specializing in care for qualified patients with rehabilitation needs, including those recovering from stroke, aneurysm, and post-operative surgical conditions. Patients may have diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, ABI, Spinal Cord Injury, or other neurological diagnoses and generalized debility. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient care in a 1:6 ratio. Responsibilities include interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, taking patient health questionnaire history, recording vital signs (Blood Pressure, Respirations, Temperature, Pulse), performing dressing changes, setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays, collecting specimens (Capillary, Labeling of specimens, Throat, Urine - UA Clean Catch, Phlebotomy), telephone triage, and handling pharmacy calls/patient refill requests.
