About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will care for patients in a 23-bed Medical Surgical/Observation unit. This unit focuses on improving the quality of care for medical patients, including those who have undergone general surgery. The role involves delivering care using the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will also incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures, initiate actions to meet patient information needs, and maintain continuity of care between shifts, hospitals, and during transfers.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program required or BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
