About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, including assessing the patient, planning the care, intervening as appropriate, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. The role involves incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care and initiating actions to meet patient and/or significant others' needs for information. The RN will also maintain continuity of patient care between shifts, hospitals, and during transfers. This position is within the Medical Surgical/Observation unit, a 23-bed unit focused on improving the quality of care for medical patients, including those who have undergone general surgery.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program required or BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
