About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in a Medical-Surgical unit. The role primarily involves caring for post-surgical patients, with some overflow from stroke patients. Key responsibilities include wound care, dressing changes, managing TPN and PPN, NG tubes, CBI, Foley catheters, PICC lines and ports, and pain management. The patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics. The unit utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and communication. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend and may be required to float within the facility/scope of practice as needed. Holiday work is expected based on the assignment period. Full compliance is required to start on time, with a potential two-week delay if not compliant due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Clinical fit will be assessed by a clinical reviewer.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Experience with Oncology and Surgical Trauma.
• Experience with wound care and dressing changes.
• Experience with TPN and PPN.
• Experience with NG tubes.
• Experience with CBI.
• Experience with Foley catheters.
• Experience with PICC's and ports.
• Experience with pain management.
• Proficiency in Epic.
• Proficiency in Pyxis.
• Proficiency in SBAR.
• Full compliance required to start on time.

Responsibilities
