About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Med-Surg for an exciting Travel or Local job in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This is a full-time, direct hire position with day or night shifts available, including rotating weekends. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced Med-Surg unit, assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring treatments, advocating for patients, educating families, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required (non-acute accepted)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree (ASN) or Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to manage patient ratio up to 1:6 in fast-paced unit

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions throughout shift and report changes promptly
• Perform ordered procedures and administer medications safely
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and interventions
• Act as patient advocate and coordinate with care teams
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Provide comprehensive nursing care using clinical judgment
• Support continuity of care in a fast-paced Med-Surg unit
