About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Med-Surg for an exciting Travel or Local job in Gainesville, FL. This is a Full-time / Direct Hire position with a shift of 3x12-Hour Shifts, either Days (7a–7p) or Nights (7p–7a), including rotating weekends. The role involves floating across multiple Med-Surg units based on staffing needs, performing comprehensive patient assessments, establishing care plans, and managing patient assignments with ratios up to 7:1. Responsibilities also include administering medications, monitoring patient responses, advocating for patient safety, privacy, and quality care, delivering care based on established treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, adapting quickly to different units and patient populations, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year current acute care Med-Surg experience required
  • Must be actively working in a Med-Surg setting
  • Active Florida RN license or Compact License (FL required within 60 days)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
  • Must reside within 60 minutes of facility
  • Ability to manage up to 7:1 patient ratio
  • Must pass AHCA Level 2 background screening
