About The Position

Valley Hospital Medical Center, established in 1972, is a 306-bed acute care hospital located in the Las Vegas Medical District. It is a teaching hospital with graduate medical education programs and offers over 600 clerkships and internships annually. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
  • Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • One (1) year full-time or three (3) years part-time experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Apply the concepts of Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing care.
  • Oversee and guide employees under supervision.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
