About The Position

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (MS) Unit. This role involves caring for adult patients with a variety of post-surgical and medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. The assignment is a travel contract with a shift from 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating is required. Scrubs should be Navy Blue. The patient population includes adult patients with common diagnoses such as post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery patients. Equipment used includes IV pumps, nasogastric (N/G) tubes, and feeding tubes. Experience with the EPIC EMR system is required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Active New York RN License
• Verification of all active RN licenses
• EPIC (experience required)

Responsibilities

• Caring for adult patients with a variety of post-surgical and medical conditions.
• Providing post-surgical care.
• Floating to other units as required.
