About The Position
Derby Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 6 a.m.–6 p.m. schedule at its Derby, Kansas facility. The role provides nursing care and management for residents, supports compliance with state and federal requirements, and contributes to a dependable, collaborative, and positive workplace. The facility describes opportunities to grow within the company and emphasizes support from experienced managers who have worked in front-line roles. The minimum starting pay is $30 per hour for an RN and $28 per hour for an LPN.
Requirements
- Current Kansas RN or LPN license.
- Current CPR/Basic Life Saving certification.
Responsibilities
- Work with the intention of improving lives and exceeding expectations.
- Work as part of a team and help maintain a fun, positive environment for coworkers and residents.
- Be dependable and honest.
- Attend required meetings in person or via Zoom.
- Maintain current nursing license and CPR/Basic Life Saving certification.
- Monitor staff compliance with state and federal requirements, including blood-borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety.
- Record and monitor residents’ progress and communicate with physicians according to facility policies.
- Participate in developing, revising, and maintaining the accuracy of resident care plans.
- Ensure medications and treatments within scope of practice are administered as ordered and on time, according to facility policies and schedules.
- Manage nursing care for residents.
- Perform other duties as required.
