About The Position
UW Medical Center - Montlake is seeking an Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join their nationally recognized team. This role provides exceptional care to mothers, babies, and families at a leading quaternary care center that handles complex pregnancies. The nurse will work alongside specialized multidisciplinary teams, including Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists and the Seattle Children's Hospital Fetal Program. This position offers the opportunity to advance expertise in a collaborative academic medical center, particularly for those passionate about caring for high-risk obstetric patients.
Requirements
- Two years or more years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or eligible through the Multistate Licensure (MSL) Compact.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Equivalent education and experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where permitted, except when licensure, certification, or registration requirements apply.
Responsibilities
- Admit patients for scheduled fetal procedures and fetal surgeries.
- Provide intra-procedural nursing support during fetal interventions and surgeries as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
- Recover patients following procedures, including monitoring maternal and fetal status and delivering post-anesthesia and post-procedure care.
- Deliver patient education, discharge planning, and ongoing post-procedure nursing care in collaboration with the fetal intervention team.
