RN / Registered Nurse - Urology Clinic at UW Medical Center-Montlake
About The Position
UW Medical Center-Montlake's Urology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on a 5x8 shift schedule, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The clinic is closed on weekends and holidays. The Urology Clinic diagnoses and treats patients with urologic cancer and general urology conditions, hosting specialized clinics for Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer. UW Medical Center-Montlake Urology was recently recognized as a UW Medicine Patient Experience Top Performer for Medical Practice. This role offers the chance to join an acclaimed outpatient setting, provide life-changing care for urologic oncology patients, and work a mix of bedside and back-office care.
Requirements
- 2 years of recent oncology, urology, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience
- BLS
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
Nice To Haves
- BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
- Certification premium - $1.25/hour
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with prostate, bladder, and other urologic cancers
- Perform catheter changes, specimen collection, and intravesical treatments in a clinic setting
- Perform port and PICC lining blood draws and care
- Assist providers during minimally invasive procedures, including intravesical chemotherapy installations
- Conduct Epic InBasket triage and telephone triage
