About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a dynamic acute care setting. The RN will support patients across labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the past 2 years)
- Experience in acute care facilities of similar or larger size required
- Experience circulating C-sections required; scrub experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in trauma centers or high-acuity hospitals preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients and newborns
- Float between Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and nursery units as needed
- Assist with and circulate cesarean sections (scrubbing preferred)
- Perform patient assessments and monitor maternal and fetal well-being
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
