About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for executing direct nursing care, upholding organizational standards, implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting changes, serving as a communication point between healthcare disciplines, and assessing/organizing resources for patient discharge.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Executing direct nursing care while upholding strict organizational standards and medical protocols.
Actively implementing care plans, tracking patient progress, and documenting clinical changes in real-time.
Serving as the central point of contact to ensure seamless communication between all healthcare disciplines.
Proactively assessing and organizing the resources needed for a safe and successful patient discharge.
