About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking highly experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Travel Assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Utica, New York, United States. This role is designed for advanced critical care nurses who are confident managing complex, high-acuity patients and advanced life-support technologies in a fast-paced ICU environment. The position is for a Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) travel assignment. Floating is required, and block scheduling is not guaranteed. The unit is MVHS – Wynn ICU (Unit 2000121) with 42 beds, including Neuro/Medical ICU (22 beds), CTICU (6 beds), and Surgical/Trauma ICU (14 beds). The patient population includes Stroke, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Interventions (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI care, Cardiothoracic surgery, cardiogenic shock, AAA surgical cases, Trauma patients, and major post-operative surgical cases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years ICU experience required (ICU/SICU/CTICU/Trauma ICU/MS ICU/Neuro ICU accepted)
  • Travel experience is required
  • Must provide 2 recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references
  • Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • AHA ACLS Certification
  • NIHSS Certification
  • Updated resume with ICU and travel experience
  • Skills checklist matching ICU specialty
  • Driver’s license with matching demographics
  • NURSYS verification report
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage) experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Strong cardiac ICU experience highly preferred

Responsibilities
