About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Travel Assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Utica, New York, United States. This opportunity is ideal for critical care nurses with strong ICU experience who are confident managing complex, high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment. The position is a Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) role, requiring 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) as a travel assignment. Floating to all units except Behavioral Health and ER (unless holding) is required. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but weekly guaranteed hours are provided. There are 2 positions available in the MVHS – Wynn ICU (Unit 2000121), which features 42 beds, including 22 Neuro/Medical ICU beds, 6 CTICU beds, and 14 Surgical/Trauma ICU beds. The patient population in the Neuro/Medical ICU includes stroke, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro interventions (TCAR), respiratory failure, CHF, and STEMI/post-STEMI. The CTICU handles cardiothoracic surgery, cardiogenic shock, and AAA surgical cases, while the Surgical/Trauma ICU manages trauma cases and major post-operative surgeries.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years ICU experience required (ICU/SICU/CTICU/Trauma ICU/MS ICU/Neuro ICU accepted)
Travel experience is required
Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
AHA BLS Certification
AHA ACLS Certification
NIHSS Certification
