About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Infusion Therapy team at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Requirements
- Associates of Science in Nursing Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Required
- IV Team Experience
- Oncology Infusion Experience
Responsibilities
- Performs venipuncture, IV catheter insertion, and PICC line care.
- Calculates and administers IV medications.
- Recognizes signs of distress or reaction to meds.
- Identifies abnormal labs based on patients drug and co-morbidities.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
- Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
- Educate of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
- Serve as patient advocate and responsible for assisting the Interventional Radiologists.
- Provide optimum care utilizing the nursing process
