About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at the competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This position is based in the West Campus Ambulatory Pre/Post area and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on the day shift, with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call.

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or a recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013, with an associate or diploma degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
