About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at the competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This position is in the Emergency Department at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA).

The schedule is 36 hours per week under the Weekend Work Plan, with 36 hours worked paid as 48. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced new hires.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the stated physical and sensory functions of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted.
