About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse II for a 30-bed Medical Telemetry unit organized into three 10-bed units. The unit cares for Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients, with patient ratios of 1:5–6. Common cases include total hip and knee replacements, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, exploratory laparoscopy, MRSA and C-diff infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID, and chest pain.

The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care, monitor patient conditions, and educate patients. The position has 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week, every other weekend commitment, and a holiday rotation. Floating may be required to the Multi-Care Unit and Pediatric Unit. Scrub color is flexible except camouflage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Med-Surg experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts before signing the contract.
• Willingness to precept nursing students.
• Work night shifts, every other weekend, and participate in holiday rotation.

Nice To Haves

• Telemetry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to the Multi-Care Unit and Pediatric Unit when required.
