About The Position
Reproductive Partners Medical Group, Inc., part of Ivy Fertility, is seeking a per diem Operating Room Registered Nurse for its fertility practice. The RN supports fertility treatment procedures in the operating room and PACU, delivering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care and patient education. The position requires at least two years of PACU experience and at least one workday per week, including one weekend day per month.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of a certified nursing program.
- Current California Registered Nurse license without limitations.
- At least two years of experience working in an operating room within a fertility center.
- At least two years of PACU experience.
- Experience working in IVF.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative, circulating, and postoperative assessments for patients.
- Help ensure patient comfort and follow safety measures.
- Assist physicians or ultrasound technicians with fertility procedures.
- Counsel patients and couples, teach them about procedures, and communicate physician orders and instructions.
- Provide operating room support and PACU care for fertility treatment procedures.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients.
- Insert IVs.
- Document care in the ASC electronic medical record.
- Assist with quality assurance projects and daily checks.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
