About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for an ICU role in Sonora, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with a shift of Days, 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. The work setting is an acute care inpatient critical care unit environment.

Requirements

Active RN license (as required for practice in the assignment)
ICU/critical care nursing experience
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an acute care inpatient ICU environment
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; effective communication and teamwork
Ability to operate in a fast-paced clinical setting and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff
Willingness to meet the assignment duration and travel requirements

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the ICU according to established standards, the nursing process, and care plans.
Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
Monitor patient status continuously, respond to changes, and adjust plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Administer medications and manage lines and devices as prescribed; document accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records.
Promote patient safety and infection control, participate in discharge planning, and provide education to patients and families as appropriate.
