Registered Nurse I (Fall 2026 New Grad Blitz) - Adult Cardiac Cath Lab
About The Position
The MUSC Cardiac Cath Lab consists of five state of the art labs plus one hybrid OR supported by a Prep and Recovery unit. We provide advanced cardiac catheterization care for heart attack, stroke and coronary artery disease, including chronic total coronary occlusion, alcohol septal ablation, patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defect. We continue to expand our Heart Failure program and are the largest transplant facility in South Carolina. MUSC Health also offers more treatment options for heart valve disease than any other center in the state, including minimally invasive TAVR, MitraClip and TEER approaches. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
