Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes. The following Orangeburg Units will be participating in the Fall 2026 New Grad blitz. Please apply to this posting if you are interested in any of the units below: 3 West (Medical/Telemetry), 3 East (Telemetry), Stepdown Unit, and Emergency Department. The Stepdown unit requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Nurses on this unit manage medication drips such as insulin and cardiac medications per physician orders. NIHSS certification required after hire. The Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center with 43 treatment areas. We proudly serve the surrounding communities of Orangeburg, Calhoun, Bamberg, and Barnwell counties for all their acute healthcare needs. As a Registered Nurse within our department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse healthcare team that utilizes research and best practice to provide the utmost care for our patients. The ED will be accepting new graduates beginning employment in January 2027 or later.
