About The Position

The EP Lab or Electrophysiology Lab is a fast-paced and highly specialized cardiac procedure department specializing in treating electrical heart disease. We utilize minimally invasive procedures to treat a variety of conditions including but not limited to, Supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and bradycardia. In the EP Lab, you will work with a team of professionals including Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Anesthesiologists, Nurse Anesthetists, and Radiologic Technologists. This is a procedure area that utilizes technology and innovation to help treat the complex needs of our patient population. We have 3 invasive procedure labs and one non-invasive procedure room where staff assist physicians as a circulator, scrub nurse, and procedure monitor. The ideal candidate would have a cardiac background with critical care, cardiac step-down, or emergency room experience preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

  • Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous)
