Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.
Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Leadership experience & / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility & assignment.

Responsibilities

Supervises daily and/or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department.
May or may not have direct report relationships.
May be accountable for staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput.
May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process.
Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department.
Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
Accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care.
Promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment.
