About The Position
The Nurse Leader (NL) is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment. This role is for an RN House Supervisor for an Acute Hospital, working Full Time Nights. It is a leadership position designed to accommodate various schedules. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.
- Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Leadership experience & / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility & assignment.
Responsibilities
- Supervising frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program.
- Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department.
- May or may not have direct report relationships.
- May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput.
- May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process.
- Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department.
- Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
