Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Leadership experience and/or other experience/licensure/certifications aligned with area of responsibility and assignment.

Responsibilities

Supervising frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department/program.
Formally/informally supervising daily house functions of charge nurses, professional, and frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department.
Coordinating staff, scheduling, and assignments or throughput.
Participating in and contributing to the performance management/review process.
Contributing to daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements, and driving team results within the assigned department.
Implementing departmental plans and priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
Leading, managing, and advancing people, processes, and/or programs that support direct or indirect patient care.
Promoting and advocating for patients, nurses/colleagues, and the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise and assignment.
