About The Position

Reimagine what nursing can look like. At Mass General Brigham Home Care, you’ll build meaningful relationships, use your clinical judgment, and make a difference where patients feel most at home. As an RN, you’ll have the independence to manage your patients and schedule, without giving up the support of a strong team. Join our Beantown team. Most visits will be in Boston, Cambridge and Charlestown, with additional coverage in Back Bay, Beacon Hil, China Town, Fenway, Financial District, Kenmore, North End, Prudential, South Boston, South End and West End. You’ll work with a diverse patient population and provide care where patients live every day. You have independence, but you’re never on your own. A schedule that works for you: Part-time (20-hours), 2 - 10-hour days, with no evenings, 6-7 visits per day, and the autonomy to manage your own schedule and appointments. Smaller geography: Work within a focused service area where patients are closer together and your territory is organized around neighborhoods rather than spanning multiple towns or cities. In some areas, you may be able to walk between patient visits, spend less time traveling, and have more time available for patient care. Enjoy the vibrancy of the city while you work, with convenient access to the office and nearby hospital for replenishing supplies and dropping off labs. The territory is also conveniently located near the hospital and other nearby locations for dropping off labs. City parking passes are provided for new team members. Visit-focused role: This position does not carry a case management assignment. You’ll support nurse case managers by completing a combination of routine skilled nursing visits, Start of Care (SOC) visits, and Resumption of Care (ROC) visits—providing hands-on patient care while allowing the case managers to focus on overall care coordination and management. Ancillary support services: Scheduling coordinators, liaisons, and other support services help with the administrative and coordination needs of care, allowing you to spend more time focused on your patients. Strong team culture: Work alongside a collaborative team that values communication, teamwork, and supporting one another. Weekly interdisciplinary pod meetings, monthly team meetings, and quarterly in-person team days help keep the team connected. Support to grow: Ongoing training, education, and opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. A strong start matters: Home care can be a big transition, especially if you’re coming from a hospital or other clinical setting. Our onboarding is designed to help you feel prepared and confident working independently in the community. You’ll also have ongoing opportunities for training, education, and professional development. Your time matters, too: Your schedule includes dedicated time for documentation, chart review, and care coordination. Our MGB electronic documentation system gives you easy access to doctors’ notes and orders, helping make communication and care coordination more seamless. Your safety matters: We provide safety resources to support you in the field, including: GPS-enabled safety tools, Real-time alert features, Security-supported key fob access. With the resources of the Mass General Brigham system behind you, you’ll have the support, tools, and opportunities to grow your career while providing high-quality care in patients’ homes. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, along with ongoing opportunities for training, education, and professional development. If you’re an RN looking for independence, meaningful patient relationships, and a strong team behind you, we’d love to hear from you!
