About The Position
Mass General Brigham Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Beantown team. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, use clinical judgment, and make a difference in patients' homes. The RN will have the independence to manage their patients and schedule, supported by a strong team. The position is part of a collective bargaining unit represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association. The role involves providing care in Boston, Cambridge, and Charlestown, with additional coverage in various Boston neighborhoods. The RN will work with a diverse patient population and provide hands-on patient care, supporting nurse case managers. The position offers a schedule with dedicated time for documentation and uses an electronic documentation system for seamless communication. Safety resources, including GPS-enabled tools and real-time alert features, are provided for field staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- At least one year of acute care nursing experience
- Comfort working with various computer systems
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and electronic
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and remain self-directed in unpredictable situations
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Willingness to travel within the MGB Healthcare at Home geographic area
Nice To Haves
- Home care experience preferred
- Experience with handheld clinical devices preferred
