About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) for our Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Saint Luke's South in Overland Park, KS. This is a part-time day shift position working Monday through Friday (3 days per week) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves functioning independently and being accountable for utilizing the nursing process, coordinating patient care with the Multidisciplinary Team, and delegating tasks appropriately. The RN will identify hospital resources, serve as a clinical resource for new employees, and demonstrate leadership within the unit or department. Responsibilities include scheduling emergent-need appointments, providing patient education on procedures and processes, and acting as a subject matter expert in the specialty for hospital RNs. The role involves regular meetings with other disciplines to share best practices, face-to-face patient contact, and care for patients with long-term treatment processes, generally within a specialty clinic setting. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow within a busy oncology clinic, working alongside other oncology infusion nurses, APPs, MDs, medical assistants, clinic nurses, and onsite pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, good time management, and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment in a busy infusion center. Occasional weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Requirements

1 year applicable experience
Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
Associate Degree

Nice To Haves

Oncology or infusion experience preferred
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required but can be obtained after hire.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate

Responsibilities
