Join our General Surgery Ambulatory team in Bloomington, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care alongside a collaborative team of 6 providers and 5 APPs. In this dynamic clinic setting, RNs are involved in nurse triage, patient education, wound care, documentation, order entry, assisting with surgical patient needs, and supporting in-office procedures. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule of either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, based on department needs, with clinic hours Monday through Friday. Candidates should have at least one year of RN experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role is based at our Bloomington location with occasional travel to Bedford as needed, providing an excellent opportunity to expand your skills while making a meaningful impact on the surgical patient journey.

Requirements

  • minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
